Just announced: Fulltime Dreamer Festival Tour
As a kid, I grew up going to the Alive Fest (arguably the largest Christian Music Festival in the nation). We went every summer, camped for all five days, and attended dozens of concerts. The music I discovered during those summers became some of my absolute favorite songs, and in turn I became a life long fan of those artists (DC Talk, John Reuben, Newsboy, Grits, KJ-52 just to name a few). I remember idolizing those artists, dreaming of what it would be like to have a chance to share songs you’ve written from a stage to an audience spread across a hillside on a warm summer night.
Fast forward to last summer; my band and I received our first shot at playing a summer festival stage. Two actually! We were booked to play Creation Festival NE (Mount Union, PA) and Big Ticket Festival (Gaylord, MI). It wasn’t the main stage, there was no hillside full of people, and it was definitely a blazing hot summer afternoon. All of that was still such a gift. It was still the very thing I desired from such a young age. And it was happening. Like actually happening. Crazy.
As an indie artist, these shows are extremely hard to land. I have no major label backing me up, recommending me for the festival, I do not have a huge following, and I cannot guarantee that your festival will sell more tickets if I am apart of it. Here’s the only thing I CAN guarantee: that I will give you the absolute best FREE performance you have ever received. You see, festivals pay indie artists with stage time, not money (for the most part). To me, that stage time is worth everything. The amount of money you pay me will NEVER determine the value of the show I put in. It may determine the gear I can bring, or how much of the band I can convince to come, but it will NEVER once keep me from giving you everything I have once I step on that stage. That I can guarantee.
So there we were. Stepping on the stage of one of the festivals I often heard about as a kid, playing songs of mine that had been produced/created by one of the very musicians I grew seeing perform at the Alive Fest. It was surreal.
There’s a lot more to that story, and you can hear more of it on my podcast when in launches in a few weeks, but for now, I’m pumped to tell you that we’re hitting the road this summer to go on the “Fulltime Dreamer Festival Tour”! We we’ll be playing 7, that’s right, SEVEN festival shows this coming summer. It’s going to be awesome. The dates & locations for the tour are now live on the “Tour/Events” page of my website. Click here to see what festivals we’ll be rockin at this summer. Hope to see you at one!
